legends racing

You may or may not have heard of Legends Car racing. It is a bite size car which offers a huge impact. The series originated in the states but has been over here for a number of years, thrilling spectators and participants at the same time.

With their 1250cc motorbike engines, purpose built racing chassis and one make tyre, which is standard across the series. It boils down to one thing, the Driver. The cars hit 0 -60mph in just over 3 seconds. Each round has 3 races, 2 heats and a final. The grids for the first heat are determined by a ball draw with the following heat a reverse of the first, the grid for the final is determined by the points scored in the 2 heats, with the highest point’s scorer starting at the back. With around 15 rounds in a season there is a massive total of 45 races, so consistency is key. These pocket Rockets, as they are affectionately known, are built and raced to entertain and that is exactly what they do. More information on the cars can be found at the following web addresses;

‘I would like to thank my sponsors in 2009, for helping me achieve my dream of becoming 2009 CHAMPION. I would also like to thank my team and brothers at Burnett Motorsport for giving me a title worthy car and the support at every round. Last but definitely not least my family, who I have dragged all across the country, but they have supported me through the good and bad and never moaned (not much anyway!!!) without all of you it wouldn’t have been possible, many many thanks’
